The China Clipper

The “China Clipper” was the name given the Pan American Airways aircraft that opened the Pacific air route from San Francisco to Manila and later to Hong Kong.  Flights began in the 1930’s and continued until until just after World War II.  Several aircraft were used including the Martin M-130 and the Boeing 314.  Routes were later expanded to include the Atlantic run.  This YesterdayBox is a tribute to the planes, crew members and passengers of that era.
